This is Ella Pechkoff's father, Steve. Do you have any more information on the Traditions homework? It looks like we've misplaced the instructions, and Ella is quite concerned that she won't have it completed for tomorrow.
We have been learning about family, celebrations and traditions. As part of this topic each student in our class is going to give a presentation telling about one of their family traditions. As a class we will discuss things that are similar and different among the traditions we hear about from each of the students. Please help your child prepare for this presentation by going over the following questions.
What is one of our family traditions? What do we do? How did this tradition start? When did it start?
Please choose a tradition, not a celebration. Examples of traditions could be: • Saying grace before dinner • Attending a festival every year (e.g. Winterlude) • Summer holidays (e.g., cottage)
Presentations should take between 2-5 minutes and will be shared in class in December. Your child may bring pictures, posters, objects, music or any other items to compliment their presentation.
